Auld Lang Syne

As 2014 comes to a close we would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and say thank you for a wonderful 2014.  2014 has been a banner year for the Selig Polyscope Company and we could not have done it without you.  We have gained a lot of great clients, worked on some amazing projects, forged some excellent relationships and partnered with some of the best film festivals in the country.

When we reestablished the Selig Polyscope Company back in 2008, we did not know what to expect.  We knew we would get questions like, Selig who?  You want to do what?  Everyone has been supportive, including the Selig family.  From day one they have been super supportive and always willing to help with answers to our questions and even give us advice on what Colonel Selig might do in this day and age.  Our relationship with the Selig family is something that every company should have with its founding family and we are very thankful for it.

In 2010, we started Selig Film News.  It was a fun way for us to tell you our thoughts about films and give some of the great film critics and interviews in the Dallas area a stage to showcase their work.  They have given you some great reviews and interviews.  You have made us into the trusted source for film festival coverage in the North Texas area.  Because of this we have forged some great partnerships in the film community.  In 2014, we provided creative, production and support services to great film festivals like Dallas International Film Festival, Asian Film Festival of Dallas, Dallas VideoFest, Dallas 24-hour Video Race and Texas Black Film Festival.  In addition to providing services, we have gotten to talk with some of the up-and-coming filmmakers of our time.  Some of them have been students you have not heard of… yet.  We appreciate the organizers of the Austin Film Festival and the Stars and Stripes Film Festival for allowing us to attend their events and interview the filmmakers in attendance. In 2015, please take the time to visit each of these festivals so you can see why we are such big fans of each of them.

In addition to the film festivals, we also want to thank and acknowledge all of the studios and PR firms we work with on a weekly basis.  We are very thankful for our relationship with each of you and we hope 2015 brings new opportunities between you and Selig.  In fact, we are very thankful for our relationship with all of our clients and want to thank each of you for the support you give us.

Lastly, we want to thank everyone who works for the Selig Polyscope Company.  We have a lot of creatives who work day in and day out to bring our clients the best work in the world and to bring the readers of Selig Film News the best content on the net.

2015 will be a big year for Selig as we have a lot planned.  We have a new publication that will complement Selig Film News and we will be rolling out some new services that will help small and medium-sized businesses and non-profits.  Stay tuned to this blog and our social media sites, as we share a lot of Selig history, some not seen in over 90 years, as well as new services and other great content that you will find useful.

Happy New Year!
